VERIFY A VIRGINIA PRIVATE SCHOOL'S ACCREDITATION

Do you need to verify the accreditation status of a Virginia private school?

Please email office@vcpe.org with your request in the following format.

SUBJECT: Verification of a school's accreditation

EMAIL MESSAGE: Please verify the accreditation of (School Name) which is located at (School Address - including city and zip code).

*VCPE's previous "school locator" list is currently down for maintenance. We expect to restore the list function approximately October, 2023.

The Virginia Council for Private Education (VCPE) is the ONLY organization that has recognition granted through state statute §22.1-19 of the Code of Virginia, under the authority of the Virginia Board of Education to oversee the accreditation of private schools in Virginia.
